take you to:
'La Zenia' beach (pictures below
and the closest), plus other beaches such as
'Playa Flamenca', 'Cabo Roig',
'Campoamor' and 'Calle Captaen'
which is excellent for snorkelling.

Club Hipico
You will find Club Hipico on the road
to San Miguel de Salinas just past Villamartin
Golf course Villamartin. Lessons are provided
for up to 4 people who can ride out in a group
into the surrounding countryside.
Coming
from Villamartin, turn right
onto the San Miguel road you will see
an uphill track on your right. This is
the entrance drive to the Stables.

Villamartin Plaza
is only a 7-8 minute walk away from the villa
and there you will find everything bars,
shops, supermarket, golf shop and restaurants.
There is also a bank and medical centre.

Orihuela Costa Resort - in the
main locals visit this resort where the
swimming pool, tennis courts and gym can
all
be used
at your pleasure. A large glass of wine is
only 1.6 euros and it serves a fabulous Club
Sandwich!
San Feliu - Jativia An ancient and beautiful
church set amongst olives and cypresses
overlooking the town of Jativia.
Sierra de Espuna - Sierra de Espuna
is one of Spain's renowned national parks
offering scenic drives, serious climbing
and superb walking.
Isle of Tabarca - Well worth a Boat
ride from Torrevieja Sea Front. A quiet
hideaway less than 2 kms long and 400 metres wide and an underwater
nature reserve appreciated by divers. Sample
the wonderful barbequed fresh fish.

Santa Pola - boasts long stretches
of clean sandy beaches and an aquarium for
sealife fans. |
The town of Torrevieja is a 15 minute
drive, with a unique atmosphere
and a huge market every friday.
There is an abundance of restaurants and bars,
which provides a lively nightlife.
It has its own nature reserve 'La Mata'
which is the habitat for numerous protected
species. |

Torrevieja also boasts its very own
'Aquopolis' which is a great fun
day out for all the family. (open, mid June
- mid Sept)
Fishing trips and boat rides are available
from the port of Torrevieja.

Elche (Elx)
Elche is located within Europe's largest palm
forest (many trees dating back to the 4th
Century). A number of areas within the town
have been developed as parks and gardens,
the most famous being Huerto del Cura
(Priests Grove) which was designed in the
19th Century.
Murcia
Affluent Spanish city, the capital of
Murcia province. Murcia has a very up-market
shopping centre and many historic buildings.
Visit the beautiful
Cathedral, the Calles de la Traperia and e
la Plateria, the museums Museo de Bellas Artes
(the development of Murcia painting from
the 15th to 20th Century and Museo Salzillo
(displaying a huge colection of work by
the 18th Century sculptor Francisco Salzillo).
There is aso the Sanctuary of Fuensanta,
perched on a hilltop overlooking Murcia with
superb views.

Alicante
Visit the Cathedral or the Town Hall and
take a stroll down the famous Esplanada. The
castle of Santa Barbara is a must. For lively
evening entertainment aim for El Barrio, an
area filled with many spanish bars and a super
atmosphere.
Mar Menor
and La Manga
The Mar Menor is part of the
Mediterranean separated from the sea by La
Manga strip. The water is shallow and warmer
than the Mediterranean and much saltier. Some
excellent fish restaurants can be found there.
Whilst in the area visit Club La Manga, the
world famous golf resort, situated in the
hills 5 kms from the strip. |

Nature Reserve Calblanque Regional Park.
Protected Natural Area since 1987 and Nature
Reserve since 1992, Calblanque is an amalgamation
of wonderful sand beaches, sandbanks, arid
hills, cliff tops and salt flats all of
great ecological value.
